ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

The defining feature that sets Rhōmb apart

This system authorizes customer entry into your facility upon purchase through Rhōmb, making it a key component for Rhōmb’s functionality.

CLOUD-BASED PLATFORM

Brivo Access

Rhōmb is seamlessly integrated with Brivo Access. By choosing Rhōmb, you gain access to Brivo's robust features, enabling you to create schedules, manage access groups, and remotely add or edit permissions.

With Rhōmb, you have the flexibility to engage with Brivo as much or as little as you prefer—or even not at all! Rhōmb’s parent company, Latitude Security Solutions, is a premier Brivo dealer, and is equipped to provide you with comprehensive support for both Rhōmb and Brivo.

  • Brivo’s third-party application interface has enabled us to merge access control with eCommerce sales to create the ultimate staffless facility solution. Rhōmb's integration with Brivo's API has made the concept of selling access a reality.

  • Brivo products are simple to deploy and capable of supporting regardless of the location. Brivo’s system architecture enables our Client Services team to fully configure solutions before they even ship, enabling quicker installations and support continuity.

  • If a mobile credential is your preferred option, the Brivo mobile pass can be easily issued to customers upon purchase through your Rhōmb eCommerce site.

  • Administrative team members have a dedicated Brivo app for handling access control functions, such as adding and removing users, viewing activity, viewing video clips, and remotely unlocking doors. With Rhōmb, you have the flexibility to engage with Brivo’s administrative features as much or as little as you wish.

CONTROL PANEL

The “Brains” of an Access Control System

The control panel acts as the physical interface that connects various access control components—like door locks, readers, and cameras—to the Brivo Access system. When a customer purchases access into your facility through Rhōmb, their credential will automatically be hosted in the panel via Brivo Access, and they will be granted access through the locked entrance using this integrated system.

READER

The Device That Reads A Credential

Each time a customer presents their credential—received upon purchase through Rhōmb—at the reader, the reader sends a signal to the controller. The controller validates the credential and triggers the door to unlock. Readers can accept various credential formats, including PIN codes, QR codes, barcodes, and mobile passes, though most clients prefer to use PIN code readers when paired with Rhōmb.

ELECTRIC LOCK

Rhōmb’s access control integration requires your door to be equipped with an electric lock.

The specific type of electric lock needed will depend on your facility's door specifications, but it will likely be one of the following:

  • Electric Strike

  • Electric Latch

  • MagLock

We’re pleased to offer a free consultation through our mobile site survey, linked below, to help you identify the perfect lock for your needs.
